About BunnyConverter
What is BunnyConverter?
BunnyConverter is a friendly, privacy‑first media converter that runs entirely in your browser. Powered by Mediabunny and modern WebCodecs, it converts video and audio locally on your device—no uploads, no cookies, and no tracking. It’s quick to start, simple to use, and great for everyday tasks.
Why it’s different
- Private by design — files never leave your computer.
- Fast starts — no app installs or account sign‑ups.
- Practical presets with optional fine‑tuning.
- Works on modern browsers with WebCodecs support.
- No analytics or cookies; preferences saved locally.
What you can convert
Convert common formats without hassle: MP4, WebM, MKV, and MOV for video; MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, and WAV for audio. Actual codec availability depends on your browser; the UI guides you to supported options.
Popular uses
- Turn a video into an MP3 for notes or podcasts.
- Downscale, rotate, or trim clips to share and save space.
- Swap containers (e.g., WebM ↔ MP4) for compatibility.
- Bundle multiple outputs to a ZIP locally in the browser.
How it works
The converter uses WebCodecs to decode and encode media directly in the browser. Everything runs locally, so conversions feel responsive and your content stays private and secure. When you use streaming save, your browser may ask for permission to write the output file with the File System Access API; this permission is handled entirely by your browser and never uploads data.
